Here you can find the Silver Pagoda inside of which stands a golden Buddha encrusted with 9584 diamonds and weighing 90kgs, and a Buddha featuring emeralds and Baccarat crystal dating from the 17th century. Afterwards you travel to Wat Phnom, an ancient pagoda built atop a hill in 1372. This is followed by a visit to the genocide museum of Tuol Sleng (optional depending on age of children) to learn about the darkest period of Cambodia’s history: the regime of the Khmer Rouge. Upon arrival at Koh Dach, you can cycle along small roads to meet the weavers and listen to the clatter of the loom, before stopping for lunch prepared by a Khmer family. The ride continues on the other side of the island before you take the boat back to Phnom Penh.
